The finale of the Point Richmond Music Summer Concert Series will feature Latin American as well as blues music. Los Nadies will open the show at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 6:45 p.m. performance featuring the soulful sounds of the Anthony Paule Soul Orchestra. The concert will also feature a beverage bar, local food vendors, dancing, and face painting for children.

2 | Fiestas Patrias Parade, Sept. 12
A celebration of Latin American independence will be on display in the streets of Richmond and San Pablo this weekend. The Fiestas Patrias Parade will start at 10 a.m. at 23rd Street and Barrett Avenue and finish at 1 p.m. at Saint Paul Church in San Pablo. The parade will feature floats, dance troupes, youth groups, and classic cars. The event will also include music, cultural performances, and folkloric dance. Organizers describe the procession as a “celebration of unity, resilience and cultural pride.”

3 | NIAD’s Glamour Moves fashion show returns to the runway, Sept. 12
Fashion will dominate the halls of the NIAD art gallery in Richmond. The annual Glamour Moves fashion show will showcase the clothing, jewelry, and accessory designs of NIAD artists. More than 200 onlookers will cheer on the artists as they showcase their creations. Live performances, food and cocktails will fill the gallery and the courtyard sculpture garden. A new art exhibit called “North Star,” featuring quilts, will also be on display.

4 | Solano Avenue Stroll features a mile of music, food and crafts, Sept. 13
Food booths, live music, and craft artisans will line Solano Avenue in Albany and Berkeley this weekend. The 50th annual Solano Avenue Stroll will bring one mile of festivities, including 50 entertainers, 400 vendors, and 200 businesses, to a family-friendly street festival. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the event, the largest street festival in the East Bay.

5 | Pancake breakfast aboard historic warship will include rum tasting, Sept. 13
A touch of Hawaii will come to Richmond’s shores when the 2026 Tiki Pancake Breakfast sets sail aboard the SS Red Oak Victory. Guests will enjoy a breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes along with live, traditional Aloha music from the Fisherman Tiki Band. The event will also include an Aloha shirt contest. In the afternoon, the Rum Curious Club will host a rum tasting for guests 21 years and older. The SS Red Oak Victory is the last of the 747 ships built during World War II at the Richmond shipyards.

6 | Golf tournament, steak dinner raises money for youth club, Sept. 14
You can get in a round of golf and enjoy a steak dinner while helping an organization that has been helping Richmond children for 70 years. The 2026 Charity Golf Tournament raises money for the West County Salesian Youth Club. The event includes a barbecue lunch, a “shotgun” 18-hole golf tournament, a steak dinner, a raffle, awards, and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available, along with separate tickets for the golf tournament and the dinner.

7 | Bird watching event at Dotson Family Marsh, Sept. 14
The East Bay Regional Park District has organized a “Monday birding” hike at the Dotson Family Marsh along the Richmond coastline. Park naturalist Anthony Fisher will lead the sightseeing walk. New bird watchers are encouraged to attend, and no registration is required.

8 | Memories and Celebration exhibit spotlights Art Squad artists, Sept. 16
Members of a group of artists from the Arts of Point Richmond will display their creative works at an exhibit opening Sept. 16. The exhibit, The Art Squad: Memories and Celebration, will feature the works of David Moore and other members, running through Sept. 30. Images will be available for sale, and visitors can also collaborate on postcards that will be mailed on World Postcard Day on Oct. 1.

9 | Community forum takes a close look at AI, Sept. 16
If you have questions about artificial intelligence, a community forum may be able to provide answers. Gopal Dayaneni of Movement Generation will lead the seminar, Curious Conversations: Artificial Intelligence and Technofeudalism, covering such topics as who controls artificial intelligence, how the technology is reshaping daily life, and what it means to local communities.
