Richmond residents are voting in their first ever primary election for mayor and two city council seats.
For some of these races, the winner could be unofficially known tonight if a candidate secures more than 50% of the votes cast. If no one gets more than 50% of the votes cast in a particular race, the top two vote-getters will move on to the November General Election.
To learn more about the candidates and voting process, visit Richmondside’s primary election voter guide.
Results will begin appearing after the polls close at 8 p.m. Because many voters are turning their ballots in close to or on Election Day, it could take several days or longer to learn the final results.
