Aung Myanmar

The newest tenant at Swan’s Market is an offshoot of Burmese restaurants Aung Burma in Concord and Aung MayLiKa in Benicia. The restaurant kicked off its soft opening June 12 and held a grand opening in June 17. The menu includes tea leaf salad, garlic noodles, coconut curry chicken noodle soup, samosas and more. Divan

Fourth Street in Berkeley has officially welcomed the new modern Turkish restaurant Divan, which soft opened on June 22. For now Divan is focusing on lunch service only, but expects to open for dinner service in the coming weeks. The menu features Turkish breakfasts, mezze platters, freshly baked flatbreads, and a variety of Mediterranean-inspired sandwiches and kebabs. Divan, 1788 Fourth St., Berkeley

Miles Pizza Slice

Thanks to Nosh reader Kevin for the tip that Super Slice Pizza in El Cerrito has been quickly revamped into the new Miles Pizza Slice. The restaurants offer 18-inch takeout whole pizzas in addition to giant slices from 24-inch pies that are designed to be an “entire meal.” The pizzas are made with 48-hour, cold-fermented dough made with Keith Giusto Baking Supplies flours. Millennium

Popular plant-based Rockridge restaurant Millennium returned to action on June 17 after a brief closure. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday for prix fixe dinners on the patio and à la carte dining at the bar, plus walk-in indoor seating with self-seating and ordering. Starting in July, there are plans to bring back the Tuesday pizza program. Millennium, 5912 College Ave., Oakland 

Serotonin Scoops

On June 19, a new high-protein, low-calorie, no-added-sugar ice cream shop debuted in the Epicurious Garden. It offers flavors like mint chip, coconut mango, double dutch chocolate and strawberry with added fiber and prebiotics. Serotonin Scoops, Epicurious Garden, 1511 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley

Urban Go

A new market has opened in the ground floor of the Ms. Margaret Gordon West Port affordable housing community from the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation. The market sells household products, hygiene items, fresh fruits and vegetables, packaged foods, beverages and more. Urban Go, 2201 Brush St., Oakland

Urban Matcha

Castro Valley has a new branch of Urban Matcha that is currently in its soft opening phase. Urban Match was founded in Las Vegas, and has expanded into California with a location in San Diego and now its first Northern California cafe. In addition to matcha, the menu includes hojicha, and the ice cream, sponge cakes, waffle cones, and adzuki bean toppings, are all made in-house.
