Update: An estimated 1,335 Richmond residents are without power Saturday, according to PG&E, which said continued high winds are likely to delay repairs.
Residents are advised to stay away from downed power lines and report any instances by calling 1-877-660-6789.

The National Weather Service on Friday issued wind and coastal flooding advisories across the Bay Area, including in Richmond, San Pablo Bay and the East Bay hills. The storm even prompted a 6:20 a.m. tornado warning alert, which some Richmond residents received a text about, although it was limited to San Francisco and the Peninsula.
According to PG&E, on Friday wind gusts of 95 mph were recorded in Humboldt County and 79 mph in Marin County. Early Saturday, 83 mph winds were recorded at San Francisco International Airport, and an airport weather warning for SFO is in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday as high wind gusts are expected to continue.

Light rain is likely to continue Friday with more to come through Saturday, with up to 3/4 of an inch possible in Richmond. Sunny weather is expected to return on Sunday. Richmond received 5.78 inches of rain the past 30 days plus an additional 1.6 inches in about the past 24 hours.
On the flooding front, the possibility of king tides this weekend — higher than normal tides peaking at about 7 feet — has prompted a minor coastal flooding advisory that is in effect until 1 p.m. Monday for low-lying regions along the bay shoreline. The weather service reminds drivers to not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
Conditions will likely also be hazardous for mariners: On Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. a small craft advisory is in effect, with gusts of up to 35 knots and choppy water expected. The advisory will become a warning Friday night, with winds of up to 30 knots and “very rough waters” expected.
