There/There
Alli Li, the first chef at Friends and Family Bar who also spent time at Daytrip Counter, is opening There/There in the former location of the Friends and Family. The beloved Uptown Oakland bar closed at the end of 2025, eliciting many heartfelt obituaries, including from Nosh contributor Cecilia Seiter. Marufuku Ramen
Marufuku Ramen opens in Walnut Creek on Wednesday, May 27. The restaurant serves Hakata-style ramen in a rich Tonkotsu broth. The menu also includes wagyu and yakitori dishes. West Coast Sourdough
