1 | Virtual town hall details longterm Contra Costa transportation plan

Contra Costa County residents can weigh in on the county’s latest transportation plan at a virtual town hall. The plan outlines how to create a balanced transportation system that coordinates land use with travel needs through 2050, covering vehicles, mass transit, bicycling and pedestrian paths.

2 | League of Women Voters hosts Contra Costa County schools superintendent election forum

The two candidates for Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools will face off at a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters Diablo Valley. Dana Eaton, the superintendent of the Brentwood Union School District, and Jag Lathan, the school board president for the Antioch Unified School District, will engage in a moderated debate. The in-person event in Concord is sold out, but CCTV will record and air the debate for those who want to watch from home.

3 | YouthWorks seeking applicants for its job experience program

Richmond youths ages 16 to 21 can now apply for the YouthWorks Work Experience Program, which connects young residents with paid jobs, internships and career opportunities. Available positions include roles with the city, BART, the East Bay Municipal Utility District and the Summer Climate Justice Leadership Academy. The work experience session begins on July 1.
