Where to see live music in Richmond and more things to do at local watering holes:
Live music on the waterfront. Enjoy live music at the outdoor waterfront Sailing Goat restaurant, with views of San Francisco Bay at San Pablo Harbor. On Fri., Aug. 29, The Real John Gary brings his one-man band of folk, rock and alternative country to the stage from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Sat., Aug. 30, Emery Villains unleashes some classic rockabilly with a modern edge from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Sun., Aug. 31, Ruby Lee Hill performs traditional Americana and classic country music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Sailing Goat, 1900 Stenmark Drive, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free.
Karaoke at The Factory Bar. On Tue., Sept. 2, enjoy karaoke from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The establishment, which features a dog friendly outdoor patio, also hosts food trucks most evenings and live music or a DJ on Thursdays. This week you can listen to the sounds of Duane Patton and Mikelle Morgan on Thur., Sept. 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Factory Bar, 12517 San Pablo Ave. Free.
Tunes at The Backyard, a kid and dog friendly outdoor beer and wine garden with a full menu of food as well as music. This weekend’s live music line-up features karaoke on Sat., Aug. 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The Backyard, 205 Cutting Blvd. Free.
Music at the winery. A wine tasting will be this week’s highlight with a Pinot Noir Perspective on Thur., Aug. 28, at 9 p.m. at Windchaser Wine Company. Live music returns with the venue’s first Friday event on Fri., Sept. 5. The Windchaser Wine Company, 1352 S. 49th St.
Jazz at Riggers Loft Wine Company. The winery has live music on most weekends. On Fri., Aug. 29, SF Loungecore will perform soul, R&B and rock hits from the 1970s to the present from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Sat., Aug. 30, the Bob Roden Quintet will entertain with a wide variety of jazz tunes from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge. On Sun., Aug. 31, the 6-piece horn band Juke Joint will take the stage from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is an $8 cover charge. Riggers Loft Wine Company, 1325 Canal Blvd.
