Original post: A tipster let us know that Dek Doi, a popular Thai cafe on Oakland’s Piedmont Avenue, will close on Monday, March 31, for reasons unknown. Nosh reached out to Dek Doi ownership but no word back as of the time of publication. However, a cafe employee confirmed the upcoming closure when we stopped by in person to inquire. Dek Doi was located at 4125 Piedmont Ave. in Oakland. Â
Rasa Caffe
Rasa Caffe, a longstanding East Bay coffee shop known for its chai, espresso drinks and pastries, is closing its doors at the end of March, according to an Instagram announcement. Though its last day of service is March 30, the brand will live on at The Hidden Cafe in Berkeley, where its roasted coffee and chai will be available. Rasa Caffe was located at 411 13th St. in Oakland.
